You
can bring Omavi Bailey and Aisha Fields to your campus
or community.
This is how it is done:
1.
Email or call us with a range of your preferred dates
and we can work this out with you.
2.
Make a list of university and community contacts to
approach in your area or plan your own college or community
event.
3.
Tour packets are available. Contact us to receive tour
packets for presenting to contacts or venues who might
host an event. You can also view and download the packet
pieces online here:
4.
Set the fee for each event. We can help negotiate this.
We are asking for travel expenses to be covered and
a modest speaker's fee. This tour is a fundraiser for
the All African People's Development and Empowerment
Projects though so if you have access to greater resources
we would urge you to work for higher amounts. Instead
of going to a "celebrity" you can help fund
the Uhuru Movement for African liberation. We can work
with you to help bring several groups together to pool
resources, and on simple ways to raise resources for
the tours.
5.
Logistics: We can provide information on how to secure
a venue and set up an event.
6.
Media: We can provide press releases and other media
materials.
7.
Outreach: We provide leaflet and poster originals and
can help lay out an effective outreach plan.
8.
The Burning Spear Tours committee can be in touch with
you on a regular basis to help with the process.
